I Stepped in Some Shingu Once…

So I’m up at the Heinous Doctor’s place in Dallas this weekend. We’re watching Shingu, which he’s finding quite enjoyable. One thing I’m doing just to be mean, is pestering him after each disk:

“Nayuta, or Setsuna?” Of course, this early (we’re only at the end of #2), that’s not a fair question, Setsuna isn’t doing much yet. That will change…

Not much else to tell; I’ll be back in town late Sunday and will have more to say then.

Heh. You know, I totally forgot about her. I’m not much for the quiet types; I’m paranoid that they’re plotting my demise.

We got through the first two DVD’s before I had to head home, and I left the pack for him to finish. As it happened, his reaction was pretty close to mine: he thought the first few episodes were slow and boring, but once the characters started to develop, he really liked it.

And in the height of cruelty, I brought only the first two episodes of Code Geass, so now he’s hooked like I was! Muahahahahahahahaaha!

“So I gather this isn’t the kind of show where it’s all about him going, ‘Oh no, I have ultimate power; should I use it or not?'”

“Heh. Not hardly! More like, ‘I have ultimate power, now let’s get on with ultimate corruption!'”

However, I made up for it by leaving him a copy of Banner III.

  2. Harumi is too sweet and thoughtful to plot anyone’s demise, even though she does fight like an angry buzz saw when she needs to.

  3. I can’t believe you guys stopped after ep 10. You didn’t watch ep 11 and then stop after it?

No, that would have started the 3rd DVD. And that would have meant going to 15, and then we’d have to load the 4th DVD, and then it would have been like 5 am when we loaded the 5th….

AT LEAST DIVERGENCE EVE WAS ONLY 3 DVD’S!!!!

I left the set for the Doctor to finish, and from his absence in WOW tonight, I suspect that is exactly what he was doing. Unless his day really sucked. (I left early, because he got called in to work on a Sunday.)

And angry buzz saws are noisy. Generally, the only things that make noise around Harumi are the things she’s breaking. Well, except for that once, but it was a special case.

I did finish over the next day or two. I really enjoyed Shingu. It was, on the whole, a very bright and sunny series. Jiltosh was a riot.
