Damn.

Note that it’s dangerous to be a reporter in a war zone…

I gotta love how CNN put their logo on it. Ok so they picked up the tape. Notice they didn’t bother to translate a word she says… Would they if it had been a Russian reporter?

Make up your own mind.

UPDATE: Further down in the comments of another article, I saw the following quote. I thought there was a discontinuity in the tape, but I put it down to the cameraman stopping the camera. Which, if so, would indicate that he really sucked as a cameraman.

In other words, CNN edited the clip to omit:

I also watched the clip of the Georgian woman reporter who was shot while doing an on location report. About 6-7 single shots were fired towards her crew. A bullet grazed her arm and she bled lightly. She got angry and defiantly faced the group of Russian “Soldiers”, but her crew pushed her into a van and wrapped her wound. The soldiers easily could have killed them all. A few more “pops” went off, then the camera turned on the soldiers as they piled onto their transport. They were joking and all but one or two of them were wearing hoods. Just what kind of soldiers wear hoods and shoots at an unarmed women in the middle of the summer?

Funny how CNN didn’t show that part. Want to bet they have exclusive worldwide distribution rights?

UPDATE 2: I lose the bet. Saw a Reuters clip. Also saw another segment including parts similar to the above narrative. However it’s clear upon casual observation that the shots of Russians are file clips, not part of the original scene.

Update 3: all the clips are disappearing…. Hm.

Update 4: it was just a glitch.
