Apparently the reason Kanokon got pulled from online distribution was the content of Ep. 7, not 8. I suspected as much when I realized that the timing was wrong for the online companies to have seen 8 and yanked it, but right for them to run from the backlash caused by 7. Early reports are that Ep. 8 was fairly tame… for this show. 🙂

It’s interesting to learn that the fox girl’s mother is a nine-tailed fox. That’s not good.
I know there’s lore in them thar hills, but whut is it? Wikipedia just seems to indicate that means she’s been around 1,000 years or so. Since Chizuru has been noted as being 400 years old herself, that’s not too surprising.
A nine-tailed fox is particularly powerful, and not to be trusted.
Oh, I thought you meant something more serious. Hell, if you follow the lore on Wikipedia, Kouta’s relationship with Chizuru is doomed to be somewhat bittersweet. This may be why all the other spirits are against it.
