Slow progress is the name of the game today. What happened was that the surgery was a success, but the patient died. (One half of that statement is false. Ithink you can guess which.) Instead of the normal recovery profile, my sleep apnea kicked in and my airway blocked. Nature and my lungs abhor a vacuum, so my lungs started filling with fluid, possibly stomach acid.
They knew about the apnea, but the anesthesiologist figured he had it under control. I dont know how sarcastic to be about that; shit happens even when u do everything right.
And no catgirl nurses. everythings day by day; they moved me fromICU tuesday. I’m in an “acute care” and they want to move me to a regular floor tomorrow. Nothings plotted further than that.
